Lorenzo Smith Named General Manager of Jim Ellis Toyota of McDonough

Lorenzo Smith has been named the new general manager of Jim Ellis Toyota of McDonough. Lorenzo brings 17 years of experience in the automotive industry, all of which have been with Jim Ellis Automotive. He most recently served as general manager of Jim Ellis Alfa Romeo Maserati.

Originally from the small island of Bermuda, Lorenzo got his start in leadership early. His first job was at Smatt’s Cycle, a scooter rental shop, where he was promoted to general manager within two years and oversaw all three locations. He later moved to the United States in his early 20s to pursue new opportunities.

As the new general manager, Lorenzo’s goal is to reach 110% of both the new car and certified pre-owned objectives while providing the best client experience possible. He is committed to building strong relationships within the community and creating a positive, results-driven team culture.

Lorenzo’s passion for vehicles began with his first car, a 1999 Peugeot 206. Today, his favorite model sold at Jim Ellis Toyota of McDonough is the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro 4WD Crew Cab. He appreciates its power, smooth handling and commanding presence on the road.

In his free time, Lorenzo enjoys making homemade popcorn with his popcorn machine and watching action movies, especially those starring his favorite actor, Denzel Washington. He and his wife are proud parents of two children—his son recently graduated from Georgia Southern University, and his daughter will begin her second year of high school this August.
