Same Camry, New Design

The 2018 Camry has all-new exterior features, such as a lower, wider stance to help drivers take on any road conditions confidently. In contrast to older Camry models, the 2018 Camry is now 1.2 inches lower, 1.3 inches wider, and 0.4 inch longer. With these changes, the hood and roof are now 1.5 inches and 1.0 inch lower as well. These changes help contribute to an improved ride experience, and handling.

CONTROL-ARM SUSPENSION STANDARD

With the 2018 Toyota Camry, you can see that driving dynamics was a very important feature in the development of the Camry. That’s why on every vehicle across the lineup, control-arm rear suspension is standard. AN ENGINE WITH POWER

The 2018 Camry is still packing a V-6 engine, with a twist. This new 3.5L engine has a D-4S direct- and port-injection system, making it more powerful than the units before. In addition, the baseline engine will be fully equipped with Dynamic Force powertrain, which features direct and port injection, a thermal efficiency of 40%, and a high compression ratio.

EIGHT SPEEDS ACROSS LINEUP

On the gas-only trims of the 2018 Camry, eight-speed automatic is now going to be standard. The new technology in the 2018 Camry helps it accelerate at a much faster rate, and demonstrate power on the road in a very efficient manner. This new change will be huge for all Camry drivers.

A HYBRID LIKE NO OTHER

Returning for another year is the Toyota Camry Hybrid, and it has some new surprises for Hybrid lovers. The 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid now has an electric motor, an updated CVT, and either lithium-ion or a nickel-metal hydride battery. In addition, the SE trim level offers a Sport mode, which will help improve the car’s acceleration and show speeds that are comparable to other vehicles on the road. This vehicle is full of power, and still just as efficient as other hybrids on the market. Toyota Safety Sense is still a standard for the 2018 Camry. Each Camry comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense P. This feature includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning with steering assist, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, and automatic high-beams. These features give drivers the reassurance and confidence that they need on the road. In addition, the 2018 Camry offers a head-up display option, which will project information such as navigation in the driver’s field of view, which means you won’t need to take your eyes off the road for guidance.

CONNECTIVITY AT THE WHEEL

Toyota’s Entune feature keeps drivers connected right at the wheel. It comes with a standard app suite, which comes with features remote start, vehicle status notification, a guest driver monitor, vehicle finder, and a door unlock and lock function. Scout GPS link with Moving Maps ensures that drivers know where they are going at all times. On the V-6 models, the new Dynamic Navigation system can be updated over the air and offers a new navigation experience for drivers.
